Absent from the lower Congo according to Ref. 82238, but species reported from various localities in Ref. 42510. Absent in the Luapula system (Ref. 78218, 82238). Recorded from Pool Malebo, middle Congo River mainstream, Lukenie, Kasai, Kwango, Sankuru (Ref. 82238), Ruki drainage (Ref. 82238, 93897), Lake Tumba, Ubangi, Uele, Itimbiri, Aruwimi, Lindi, Tshopo, Lomami, Wagenia Falls, Lualaba, upper Lualaba, Lukusi (lower Luvua tributary) (Ref. 82238) and Kwilu (Ref. 89725).
